Purpose

The Mahogany Care, Inc. Board of Director’s is a volunteer council of successful, socially-conscious and motivated professionals who are committed to supporting women and families through resource raising, marketing and advocacy efforts.

The Mahogany Cares, Inc. (MCI) Board will bring together a group of professionals who share a common goal: to increase awareness and resources to advance the mission of Mahogany Cares, Inc. through an annual social event and volunteer event. As a member of the MCI Board, you will help forge new relationships to bolster Mahogany Cares, Inc.’s visibility and impact through special events, education and advocacy. The MCI Board has a maximum capacity of 10 members. All event costs are covered by sponsorships procured by the MCI members.

Board Major Responsibilities

  • Attends in-person meetings and conference calls to discuss current initiatives
  • Stays informed of organizational matters, prepares for meetings, and reviews and comments on email correspondence and reports in a timely fashion
  • Assists in coordinating the MCI-led events
  • Attends MCI-led events
